On the Tourism issue the Department is divided in two main areas of intervention, the tourism sponsorship (Development and Promotion of Tourism) and the hotel industry (Intervention in the Hotel Industry and other Tourism Support Activities).
With regard to the Cultural heritage, the Department is implementing a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing their value. The intervention strategies implement programs for the improvement, upgrading and promotion of sites in order to create proper conditions to strengthen productivity, investment and employment. Moreover, it will consolidate, extend and upgrade the archaeological, architectural, historical, artistic and landscape heritage. Among the interventions activated and/or already completed, there are works of restoration, conservation and renovation of the integrated management of different cultural heritage sectors.
