In London the 2011 edition

The Moons of Pompeii are ready to light up again in 2011. The news on the night tour at the archaeological site, made of voices, lights and sounds, will be presented at the World Travel Market in London, the most important European fair on global tourism, scheduled from 8 to 11 November.

Among the most visited places in the world, Pompeii doesn’t needs any introduction. Something special is offered to the public: to dive into the reality of the time, to live scenes from daily life and passions of the buried city.

The tour consists of a walk through the ruins dating back to thousand years ago. Seven "Moons", huge helium illuminated balloons suspended between the domus, involve tourists and fans back in time to retrace the steps of the eruption in 79 AD, which surprised the population, covering their city with debris, ash and lava. Seven moons representing the various topics discussed during the trip: the ruthlessness of death, hope, success, the parable of life, the mystery the evanescence, and fun.

The success of the initiative is enshrined by over 20 thousand visitors this year. It does not end here. Until the end of 2010, pending the new construction, you can still visit the ruins during the night, immerging yourself in the magical and mysterious ancient city. The next appointments for the tour are set on 13, 20 and 27 of November, 4, 7, 11, 18 and 30 of December. All information and reservations available on
